West Point Portfolio Management Leader
The West Point Project Management Office (PMO) Lead is responsible for establishing and providing leadership to the project and strategic workstream leads/teams within Vaccine Operations at the West Point Site.
This is a site support role will be responsible for a team of individuals from across the organization that will be assigned to manage efforts with a wide and diverse portfolio of projects across the site.
These projects fall into but not limited to the following categories:
• Supply Chain initiatives.
• Continuous improvement initiatives.
• Business transformation.
• Technical Programs.
• Quality initiatives
DUTIES
The Project Management Office (PMO) lead will work closely with cross-functional onsite teams including Operations, Quality, Technical Operations, Facility Management, I.T, Strategic Partners, and Engineering. Responsible to ensure that projects are being executed and value is realized according to the project standard, ensuring scope/budgets are aligned and project change control is implemented appropriately.
Duties include:
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and priorities.Maintain and leverage a prioritization process to ensure the correct projects are being delivered.Work with project sponsors at initiation to ensure the scope is fully defined and understood.Act as enterprise leader by guiding teams through the creation, approval, and execution of integrated project plans appropriate to the project's phase of development and complexity.Build and maintain project schedules and critical project information in enterprise project management systems and databases.Using these tools to integrate activities across key team members, proactively identify risks, and ensure clear and effective communication with key team, management, and cross-departmental stakeholders.Ensure that the site portfolio of projects is delivered as per: Scope , Budget , Schedule and overall realization.Maintain an active and up to date resource plan for all projects that can be rolled up to view the level of activity and resources supporting site projects.Coach and train site personnel on the roles and responsibilities of all those involved in project execution and effective use of enterprise portfolio management system.Generate and present to the site leadership PMO statistics and how the site portfolio is performing.Issue and provide appropriate communication to key stakeholders and site personnel on portfolio performance.

Position Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement
Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or related field, ORHigh school diploma and 10 years of relevant academic and/or practical work experience related to manufacturing, operations, supply chain, military, or related field including executing and leading portfolio management program in a complex environment
Preferred Experience and Skills:
5 or more years of work experience in complex environments with roles in one or more of the following: Operations, Supply chain management, Quality, Science & Technology, Engineering & Maintenance, Capital management, Project/program management5 or more years of executing and leading portfolio management program in a complex environmentExcellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with ability to work across functional and leadership teams,Dynamic individual with a strong track record of strategic work experienceSelf starter who thrives in a forward-thinking, collaborative, and innovative high-growth environmentProject management Professional certification (PMP) and/or formal coursework/training in project managementFamiliarity with project management software and tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, One PMO, etc.)
