Our Company's Oncology Marketing team is passionate about bringing our medicines and vaccines to our customers around the world. Our Company and the alliance company entered into a strategic oncology collaboration to co-develop and co-commercialize the prescription medicine, which is currently indicated in metastatic ovarian cancer, early and metastatic breast cancers, metastatic prostate cancer, and metastatic pancreatic cancer.
We are currently recruiting for an Associate Director of U.S. Oncology Marketing . This position will focus on scientific strategy and execution for the prescription medicine Women's Cancer indications. Activities require close collaboration with multiple cross-functional teams at both our Company and the alliance company. This position reports to the U.S. Marketing Leader and has the opportunity to demonstrate leadership in many different areas, including strategic planning, scientific and market data analysis, as well as cross-functional leadership and collaboration.
Key responsibilities, which may evolve over time, will include but are not limited to the following:
Lead and manage the development and planning of scientific strategy and advocacy in alignment with brand strategy and ensure alignment with relevant alliance company functions. On our Company's side of execution and monitor execution performance
Develop a key events timeline, including market events, key congresses, and internal events to guide planning of scientific activities
Drive the evaluation and interpretation of external data, publications, and their impact on future treatment algorithms and the brand forecast assumptions, as well as potential impact on guidelines and pathways, and support competitive strategy
Support Medical Affairs to deliver the scientific narrative for the prescription medicine
Lead the Medical Education strategy and campaign in collaboration with relevant alliance company cross-functional teams to maximize scientific awareness and belief, and pull through the scientific narrative into the medical education programs
Plan and maintain external speaker bureaus and speaker training, including at speaker training forums and symposia as needed
Lead or refine the congress plan and the KOL (key opinion leader) list as the market continues to evolve and in alignment with the brand strategic imperatives
Working with Global Medical Affairs or alliance company stakeholders, provide marketing viewpoint on advisory boards needed to gain KOL perspectives on scientific data impacting brand and critical brand strategic approaches, create a network of external thought leaders, plan and participate in ad boards or third-party programs. Support execution as needed
Develop the Scientific Leader Engagement Strategy, including planning engagements with Scientific Leaders during/after key scientific congresses as well as ongoing analysis and reporting
30% travel, including congresses and in-person alliance meetings
Education Minimum Requirement:
Required: Bachelor's degree
Preferred: Master's degree (MBA/MS) or consulting experience
Required Experience and Skills:
A minimum of 3 years combined strategic marketing, brand management, sales or business support experience in any industry
Strong productive communication skills (written and verbal) as demonstrated through experience in strategy & marketing business case communication, sales interface, direct customer engagement and/or sales presentations
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 1 year in Oncology Marketing
Scientific Strategy or Medical Affairs experience
Proven ability to influence without direct authority, navigate complex or matrix organizations, where exceptional collaboration is required to obtain desired results
Proactive leadership with high energy to be successful in white space
Strong sense of urgency and resilience
Strong learning agility, a flexible and growth mindset, willingness to lean into discomfort and challenge the status quo
Experience bringing material through legal, regulatory, medical review
Agency and budget management experience
Proven skills in developing PowerPoint presentations to visualize complex information and tell a story to succinctly lead and prioritize efforts across internal and external stakeholders
Experience in an alliance/partnership
