KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, HR Leave of Absence to join our Talent & Culture People Services team.
Responsibilities:Partner with third party administrator, legal and employee relations team on all leaves of absences including Short-Term Disability, FMLA, USERRA, accommodations, Long Term Disability and Worker's Compensation claimsManage the day-to-day operations of the Leave Management team including oversight of offshore teams, coordination with third party administrator, managing leave of absence data in HRIS, working with payroll on leave adjustments, quality control processes; oversee the design and development of tools, guidelines, and procedures to optimize leave administration and overall service delivery; collaborate with Payroll and the third party administrator to ensure accurate pay during leaves and efficient processing of short-term and long-term disability claimsProvide guidance to employees, mangers, and employee relations teams as it relates to leave of absence policy; serve as liaison between the employee, employee relations team, and absence management providers in case of escalated issuesEnsure regulatory compliance with various Federal, State and Local laws, FMLA, USERRA, ADA, and benefit administration related to leaves of absenceDrive continuous review and modification to leave policies and procedures to remain compliant with changing legislations and best practices and ensure a seamless employee experience Monitor service levels of third-party administrator and vendors; conduct regular audits of leave cases, third party administrator processes and offshore teams to ensure compliance and accuracy; develop and maintain reports and metrics related to leaves of absenceQualifications:Minimum five years of recent experience managing leaves of absences, disability benefits, and accommodations in a complex, multi-state environment using a third-party administrator in a leveraged service model; in-depth understanding of state and federal laws related to leaves of absence including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, HIPPAA, COBRA, and moreBachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience; HR certification a plusAbility to effectively lead and manage a team comprised of both onshore and off/near shore resources working in a professional office environment; proven success directing implementation of key HR policies and procedures/programs in absence managementExcellent oral and written communication skills, ability to display executive presence in interactions with all levels of internal customers and team members; ability to build relationships with key stakeholdersDemonstrated capability to manage sensitive and confidential information; capability to juggle multiple priorities with focus on customer service; robust analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAdvanced Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Service Now and reporting tools a plus
