About Associate Director, Global Vaccines Marketing - New Products

  Job Description

  The Associate Director, Global Vaccines Marketing - New Products position is a critical role in our organization as it centers on developing a future-focused view of our Vaccine business, fueling the growth of the discovery pipeline through internal program development and partnerships/acquisitions. This role will shape the product profile and positioning of our investigational assets, building on our legacy of leadership in vaccines.

  This position will focus on the creation of the early commercial strategy for multiple assets within our Vaccine pipeline and exploring new opportunities for vaccine development. This requires a deep partnership with research and business development colleagues to identify pathogens of interest and develop differentiated products addressing unmet medical needs.

  The Associate Director will report to the Director of New Products.

  Responsibilities

  Serve as Commercial Lead for multiple vaccine discovery programs across different vaccine platformsAssist in the development and refresh of the overarching new targets strategy to guide internal scientific efforts and business development inquiriesDevise early global commercial strategies for existing pipeline assets based on stage of asset, ranging from definition of target product profile and priority indications to launch excellence preparationDrives cross-functional strategy development and execution across other critical stakeholders including Policy, Medical Affairs, Communications, Market Access, CORE, Pricing, Competitive Intelligence, Global Forecasting, as well as key country and regional New Product LeadersCollaborate with global forecasting team to deliver robust market size assessments, including defining key assumptions (target segments, addressable population, vaccination rate, price, market share, etc.) for internal assets and vaccine business development inquiriesProvide critical input to Manufacturing colleagues to inform long-term supply chain investments to support delivery of products to marketConduct commercial assessments for vaccine business development initiatives and support due-diligence processes by providing a commercial perspective on assets under evaluationData analysis and insight generation, staying ahead of developments in competitive landscape, and shaping early product decisionsWork with regional and country marketing teams to assess viability of new products; identifying key strategic considerations based on regional/local market conditions to maximize public health impact and product uptake.

  Work Location

  Hybrid, with Upper Gwynedd or Philadelphia as the primary location. Relocation will be supported, as appropriate.

  Yes, ~10-15% of time

  Education

  Required: BA/BSPreferred: Scientific background in either undergraduate or graduate studies (life sciences, engineering, epidemiology, MD, RPh, or Pharm D, etc.) and/or Master's Degree in Business Administration or Master's in Public Health; Health Policy or Healthcare Economics and related disciplines.

  Position Qualifications

  At least 3-5 years of experience in one or more of these areas: access, marketing (or equivalent roles), marketing/sales support, sales, pricing/reimbursement, or health economicsAgile and self-directed learning skills for developing customer understanding and identifying creative approaches to marketAbility to anticipate and rapidly respond to market and competitive changes in developing early product strategies/profilesStrong commercial orientation and business acumen (i.e., strategic thinking, verbal and written communications skills, project management and operational skills, excellence in problem solving, and aptitude for consuming, synthesizing, and displaying data)

  Preferred Experience and Skills

  Healthcare Consulting experienceExperience in public health or scientific partnershipsNew Product and/or experience working across clinical development spaceCompetitive scenarios and simulation planning and/or prior experience in developing global business strategiesGlobal or Regional/Country marketing experience, particularly in Emerging MarketsConsumer and/or digital marketing experience.

  U.S. Hybrid Work Model

  Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely.   Under New York State, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.

  Expected salary range:

  $130,960.00 - $206,200.00
