About Associate Director, Global Pricing Vaccines

  Job Description

  The Associate Director manages the pricing strategy for assigned vaccines, manages overall vaccine pricing for assigned regions, and is the business owner for key vaccines pricing dashboards and databases. For assigned vaccines, the AD will manage each price request and make recommendations that align with strategy and maximize profitability. For assigned regions, the AD will make pricing recommendations, conduct regional price analysis, and ensure local teams are trained on the pricing strategy and processes. The AD manages the vaccine pricing database and analytics tool and will conduct analysis and develop actionable insights based on a composite of inputs including historical pricing, demographics, competitive trends, financials, and access data. The AD will develop and communicate presentations and reports to commercial leaders based on the analysis to optimize critical decisions.

  The AD will interact with Global and Regional Pricing, Market Access, Global Franchises, Regional Operations, Finance, Information Technology, Manufacturing, Policy, Markets and other functions as required.

  Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  Direct the assessment and updating of product pricing strategies for the Vaccine Franchise as requiredProvide guidance to these franchises to continually improve the revenue and profitability of in-line assets through a strategic evaluation of key events in the therapeutic space.Maintain and improve the Vaccines Pricing analytical tools, dashboards, and databaseAnalyze trends and data to optimize pricing and allocation decisionsIn line with Global Pricing SOPs, revise and secure approvals for pricing strategies to maximize profitability of the in-line portfolio in Vaccines.Assess price proposals and develop recommendations that seeks input & approval from franchise stakeholders, as defined by Global Pricing governanceEducate senior Global Pricing and GMAx leadership on the strategic imperatives of all brands within their purview.Train affiliates on interpretation and application of price strategies and price structure to ensure compliance with guidanceContributes to and/or steer strategic projects on an as needed basis to improve the overall pricing and reimbursement knowledge and skills of Global Pricing colleagues and the broader organizationDirect and collaborate with internal stakeholders on a day to day basis and manage engagements to completionDevelop an understanding of internal customer's prevailing business environment, current business strategies and challenges to the businessCollaboration with Cross Functional Teams to define engagement objectives, set key performance metrics and customize each engagement approach to maximize value for our company.Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when presented with difficult scenariosTactfully and diplomatically negotiate to reach alignment and drive progress forward

  Education Minimum Requirements:

  Required: BA/BS in a business disciplinePreferred: Masters

  Required Experience:

  Minimum of (2) years combined Vaccines or Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry experienceDemonstrated ability to conduct analysis, draw insights, present options and make a recommendationOne of the following:

  Global Pricing experience within vaccines or pharmaGlobal Market Access experience within vaccines or pharmaData Science experience in vaccines or pharmaExternal Pricing or Market Access ConsultantCommercial / Marketing / Finance / Payer experience within vaccines or pharmaExceptional demonstration of direction without formal authorityExceptional analytical skillsData management skillsPersuasive writing and speaking skills.Strong communication and presentation skillsProficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Demonstrated flexibility and tenacityDemonstrated negotiation and influencing skillsAbility to be successful within a matrix organizationStrong understanding of financials

  U.S. Hybrid Work Model

  Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.

  Expected salary range:

  $135,500.00 - $213,400.00
