Position Overview - Basic Functions & Responsibility
The Global Clinical Supply (GCS) organization is within our company's Research Laboratories and is accountable for managing the 'end-to-end' integrated clinical supply chain across our Research & Development Division portfolio to enable the execution of any clinical trial using our company's asset. GCS supports more than 300 Phase I-IV clinical trials run in-house, 400+ outsourced or run by partners as well as our company's ISS clinical trials (300+). GCS is accountable for the planning, sourcing, labeling, packaging and delivery of clinical supplies to clinical sites across more than 60+ countries, all in accordance with US and WW regulations, company policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
The Associate Director, Business Insights and Analytics (BI&A), is responsible for both the GCS strategy with regards to business insights and the analytics that will drive them and setting appropriate business measures with key stakeholders to drive GCS performance as well as the delivery of tools and solutions for digital visualizations of these KPIs. The Associate Director, BI&A, will carry out execution of solutions to business needs by designing and implementing new data management in our mission to employ innovation and technology solutions to more effectively manage data warehousing to allow efficient automation of reporting and visualizations. The Associate Director, BI&A, will work strategically and tactically to streamline processes and eliminate manual work in current reporting processes with a key focus on reports to increase business efficiency and metrics as key performance indicators (KPIs), contributing to the overall performance within GCS.
This role will also be responsible for upskilling GCS in the applications used for reporting. The Associate Director, BI&A will help in driving the strategic performance of the overall GCS organization through visualization of key business insights via data analytics.
Primary Activities
Primary activities include conduct but are not limited to:
Participate in data extraction, transformation, and load script optimization.
Integrate additional data sets into current/new applications.
Build out data dictionary libraries.
Work with team on front end data quality checks and accuracy
Streamline processes and eliminate inefficiencies in current reporting process.
Meet with stakeholders to understand reporting needs.
Translate business needs into actionable data solutions.
Perform App demonstrations and training for end users.
Test and create Master Dimensions, Measures, and Visualizations
Continuously evaluate opportunities for creating additional connectivity, and share learnings, between partner organizations
Education and Skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required with 5 years of Business Intelligence Development required or 2-3 years of Clinical Supply experience.

Understanding current data systems structure and or data sets
Prior BI experience (Qlik preferred)

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. Under New York State, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$122,800.00 - $193,300.00
