As an Associate Director, Actuarial Services - Solstice Benefits, you'll be charged with designing new analysis and processes to deliver bold, business-savvy solutions. You will collaborate with leaders from other disciplines (Finance, Underwriting, Healthcare Economics, Sales, etc.) to conduct analyses that will drive the direction of the business at multiple levels and ultimately further our mission of helping people lead healthier lives. You will be challenged with becoming a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in your area of expertise while helping to drive business results.

Primary Responsibilities:
Balance the goals and needs of the business while optimizing growth and retention through strategic rate actions Develop pricing methodologies, assumptions, new rates and cost estimates Prepare regulatory filings Demonstrate your master actuarial and leadership skills in a highly complex and matrixed health care environment Assist in the development of financial forecasts and projections

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) or FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) designation 5+ years of Actuarial experience Experience preparing rate filings for commercial benefits Proven collaborative skills with the ability to partner and build cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Supplemental benefits experience, ideally dental Individual exchanges (ACA) experience Proficiency with PowerBI, Tableau, or similar software Proficiency in SAS, R, Python, or other similar language Proven excellent presentation skills with the ability to present findings to senior business leaders

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
