Mission
• Promote strategic partnerships with Biomedical Research by fostering value-producing relationships between RX and Biomedical Research.
• Develop and enhance relationships with key business stakeholders.
• Build business-specific informatics roadmaps with our Biomedical Research stakeholders.
• Align business roadmaps with the RX strategy and portfolio.
• Identify and expand high-value generating opportunities across Biomedical Research.
• Ensure a consistent RX experience on the business side (meetings, communication).
• Act as brokers for Biomedical Research stakeholders to navigate the RX space.
• Single point of contact (SPOC) for strategic topics.
Purpose
Act as the strategic interface between senior scientific business leadership and Research Informatics (RX). Collect and coordinate input for Disease Area and Scientific Platform informatics strategies and roadmaps. Ensure that business and scientific informatics demand is captured and shared. Collaborate with RX leadership and RX teams to ensure quality products and services are effectively aligned and delivered to business stakeholders.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage strategic relationships and roadmaps between RX and senior leadership in Biomedical Research Disease Areas and Scientific Platforms.
• Ensure consistent coordination and IT experience for business stakeholders with respect to services and projects by RX functions with the support of the Community of Practice of cross-functional DA/FA and RX leaders.
• Develop relationships with key business stakeholders, actively manage expectations and monitor satisfaction levels, serving as a key point of contact and trusted advisor/business partner.
• Address business demand by capturing high level technology requirements cross-functionally and drive prioritization by value management. Ensure local readiness for IT and informatics standards, to efficiently use information management investments and operate securely.
• Communicate scientific and business informatics strategy, decisions, priorities, and progress of initiatives and oversee resolution of escalated issues.
• Understand complex IT landscapes and relationships.

Role Requirements
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
• Advanced degree in biology, chemistry or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in drug discovery, ideally familiar with biologics / biotherapeutics discovery.
• 3+ years of informatics or IT experience, ideally in a biomedical research environment.
• 1+ years of account management or other relevant customer facing experience.
• Good understanding of therapeutics discovery and informatics in a biomedical research environment.
• Ability to travel 25%

Novartis Compensation and Benefit Summary: The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $166,400 and $166,400 year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
