Floyd College of Medicine (COM) at Washington State University is seeking an Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education (ADGME). The position may be based at any of the current clinical campuses located in Washington state such as Spokane, Everett, Tri-Cities and Vancouver, with a preference for Spokane, WA. This role holds a unique opportunity to serve across Washington State as the community based medical school currently sponsors residency programs including Internal Medicine in Everett, WA, Family Medicine in Pullman, WA and Pediatrics in Spokane, WA, with residency and fellowship expansions on the horizon.The ADGME will oversee and lead all GME programs through strategic planning, development, and innovation throughout the state of Washington, making a lasting contribution to the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine and the state of Washington. The role is responsible for the establishment and oversight of residency and fellowship programs at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine.The position will allow for flexibility to accommodate the incumbent's clinical activities with a mutually agreed upon FTE of 80-100%.For questions or inquiries please contact Megan Fulton at mailto:[email protected] and Responsibilities:50% - GME Strategic Planning:• Oversee all facets of strategic and operational planning, development, implementation, monitoring/assessment, and continuous quality improvement of graduate medical education.• Create and maintain an ongoing strategic plan for GME that aligns with COM and University Strategic Plans.• Fosters strong relationships within and outside the COM to promote collaboration with the Office of GME.• Align resources with COM clinical enterprise strategic plan while contributing meaningfully to the workforce needs of Washington.• Participates in institutional efforts that span the educational continuum, including competency-based transitions from medical school to GME as well as the use of data in continuing professional development to change behavior, impact systems, and improve patient outcomes.• Works collaboratively with college executive leadership, clinical partners, and affiliated organizations to integrate education and clinical missions.• Works collaboratively to engage with philanthropic and grant development to build and maintain GME financial sustainability.• Expands the number of WSU GME programs, working with clinical and community partners to address community needs.35% - GME Administrative• Serve as the Designated Institutional Official for the purpose of Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Institutional and Program Sponsorship.• Ensures the success of the WSU GME programs, including maintaining accreditation for all programs.• Ensures the development and maintenance of healthy clinical learning environments in all locations that COM residents and clinical fellowships train.• Creates and monitors a continuous educational improvement model for the overall GME program.• Supervises and mentors program directors, provides annual evaluations, and supports opportunities for professional development.• Ensures the availability of needs-based faculty and professional development, through partnership with the Office of Faculty Affairs and Continuing Professional Development• Provides guidance and p
