  Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2024 Contracts Intern. In this role, you will provide Contract Negotiation and Administration support. Assist with review of contract documents. Author business correspondence to customers. Interface with Program Management and other Finance and Business Operations functions. Assist with preparation of presentation materials, administration and analysis of financial information to include closeout activities and contract awards, preparation of internal business documents which authorize performance (e.g. Proposal Authorizations, etc.) The successful candidate will have experience and/or familiarity with negotiations, reviewing terms and conditions and public speaking.

  Basic Qualifications:

  - Currently enrolled in a Bachelors program pursuing a degree in Communications, Pre Law, Business, Finance, Accounting, Management or Economics

  - Must be able to use basic computer programs such as Word, Excel and Power Point.

  - Candidate must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.

  - Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  Desired Skills:

  - Basic knowledge with various contract types, various forms of U.S. Government contracts, and federal acquisition laws and regulations considered a plus.

  - Familiar with the fundamentals of negotiations and influence

  - Demonstrate the ability to critically evaluate written products for risks and opportunities

  Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

  Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

  Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
