Job Description
The Opportunity:
The Associate Computer Application Engineer (CAE) will work within the Mechanical Design and CAE department located in East Aurora and report directly to the Manager, Mechanical Design & Computer Applications Engineering. Primary tasks include working with Product Development Engineers to setup 3D simulations of products based on internal standards, regulatory requirements, or general concerns. The Associate Engineer (CAE) will be responsible for predicting and diagnosing potential concerns and identifying solutions. We have a global footprint, so expect projects to come from anywhere in the world.
What Your Impact Will Be:
Provide accurate structural analysis of toys using computer applicationsBecome an expert in a variety of software applications to support responsibilities including:3D CAD development of parts and assemblies, mechanism design in a CAD environment, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and molding analysisApply fundamental engineering knowledge to make decisions and validate resultsResearch new materials, apply to simulations and verify accuracyWork within team environment to deliver high quality results in a timely mannerDocument projects and retain information to support future initiatives Qualifications What We’re Looking For:
Must have BS Degree in EngineeringExperience, interest and drive for CAD modeling and engineering simulationStrong analytical, planning, and organizational skillsPrior experience with engineering simulation applications is a plusDemonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves. The annual base salary range for this position is between $56,000 and $70,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
