The incumbent is licensed by the Virginia Department of Health Professionals or the Virginia Board of Social Work to provide mental health services independently under the titles Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP). The ideal candidate understands the importance of providing outstanding customer service, has strong leadership skills, and a drive to be successful. The position supports the Director of Outpatient Services in providing clinical oversight and leadership to clinical supervisors in satellite clinics and Crossroads Psychosocial and mental health skill building programs. Specific duties include providing monthly supervision, implementing quality assurance procedures, and making regular rounds to all satellite locations. Additionally, the position is responsible for the provision of outpatient clinical services to individuals within the assigned program site and across a wide array of diagnostic presentations, including serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and characterlogical disorders. Skills in assessment and diagnosis are essential to the position, as is an ability to document clinical observations accurately and thoroughly. Training and certification to complete prescreening evaluations for involuntary hospitalization are required.
