Hachette Audio seeks an Assistant to support its VP, Associate Publisher as well as the operations, production and marketing teams in support of our audiobook publishing program. Our small, dynamic department produces and sells over 700 titles a year, across all popular genres and with award-winning and bestselling authors. This position will afford a great view across various functions of different publishing operations, as the department encompasses Production, Marketing, Sales, Managing Editorial, and Publicity roles. Ideal candidates will be extremely detail oriented and able to balance multiple projects with varying due dates and recurrence at once.
This position will be based in our NY office on a two day a week hybrid schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist VP, Associate Publisher with sales history, data entry and production analysis for seasonal budgetsSchedule departmental meetingsProcure art for 3rd party vendorsProcess and track production and marketing invoices Serve as primary contact for general internal and external department inquiries as well as Customer Service requestsAnalyze weekly metadata updates for consistency and accuracyReview and update distribution client dataAssist VP, Associate Publisher with research, data entry and communications with primary imprints and print sales team for seasonal Large Print titlesMaintain weekly audio studio schedule and communicate studio information to print imprintsServe as back-up for Audio & Data Assistant and Operations ManagerSupport digital sales team in content integrity, account inquiries, and backlist data maintenanceCreate secure data links for licensed mastersCreate and distribute contractual author and narrator copiesPrepare reports for sales and publicity KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

The compensation range for this position is $47,500. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
