Savage is seeking a dedicated, hardworking, career-minded Assistant Operations Manager for our dry- and liquid-bulk Transload facility in Henderson, CO.
Pay Range: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year

What you will be doing:
• Ability to understand each customer's distinct needs and serve those needs
• Takes an active, forward-looking approach to business development
- Vigorously explores potential business opportunities, including: cold calls; meeting set-ups; facility tours• Understands and implements the Savage S 7 Delivery System
• Understands the customers' unique needs
• Understands financial aspect of the Savage System (Budget, Projections, Dailies, & Variances)
• Understands and implements the Savage Safety Program
• "Hands-on", hard-working, self-starting Manager
- Can lead a team - Ensure procedures and policies are followed by all terminal employees• Ability to provide leadership to each employee by teaching and training them in the following areas:

• Is well organized and can handle several projects at a time
• Safety and Environmental Compliance
• Compliance with Operational Processes and Procedures

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors
• Aptitude and proficiency for computer operations
• Has a sound understanding of transportation, transloading of liquid and dry bulk commodities including hazardous materials
• Understands railroad operations and safety
• Has computer skills including Microsoft Office, office organization and administration
• Ability to plan, control and organize operation to meet each customer's unique needs and to maximize effectiveness
What we need from you:
• Minimum of 2 years of college education preferred
• Equipment operation experience
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write and understand, and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Experience with leading a diverse group of people
Physical Requirements:
• Physically able to climb up and down railcars/ladders safely
• Willing to receive hazardous material handling training and general safety training
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Willing to work with liquid hazardous materials
• Can carry at least fifty (50) pounds
• In good physical condition (able to walk one (1) to two (2) miles per shift)
Qualified candidates must be able to pass an extensive background check, MVR, Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Physical. Full time position with a competitive benefits package.
