  Job Description

  We are hiring a full-time Assistant Manager to join our team at Chatime on Carleton University campus. Reporting to the Manager of the location, our Assistant Managers are responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the unit, working with and providing leadership to the team on the ground, and ensuring a high level of customer service.

  This position is an entry level management role within our team with lots of room to grow!

  Job Responsibilities

  Responsible for overseeing the daily operations with assistance from the ManagerEnsure compliance of all Aramark operating standards, Franchise standards, and legislated standards including company policy and procedure, Health and Safety standards, and Safe Food HandlingResponsible for scheduling staff with assistance from the ManagerProvides support to Manager with HR functions such as performance evaluations and progressive disciplineRecruits and trains staff in compliance with Aramark and Franchise requirementsDevelops and motivates Supervisory staff to attain proper standards of performanceEnsure quality, courteous service is provided to all customers, and resolves customer complaintsWorks with the Manager and Marketing Manager to launch marketing initiatives and promotionsResponsible for inventory controls, food, labor and direct costsCollects, records, and deposits all revenues received at the componentMaintains compliance of all cash handling and cash auditing procedures, reports and overage/shortagesEnsures adherence to Aramark?s policies and proceduresEnsures adherence to Aramark's Health and Safety ProgramsOther duties as assigned

  Qualifications

  Diploma in Hospitality Management/ Food and Beverage Management or equivalent work experienceManagement experience required Experience in a unionized setting an assetKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointEffective communication skillsAbility to analyze and interpret financialsStrong organization skillsFlexible Schedule Required ? may involve some evenings and weekends

  The selected candidate for this position will need to complete and successfully pass a Criminal Background Check.
