POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Assistant Guest Services Manager is responsible for the oversight and execution of daily operations in the lobby including, guest arrivals, Kings Club arrivals and Lobby Concierge requests. The Assistant Guest Services Manager works with the Club Concierge and Club Attendant to carry out guest arrival and departure procedures. This position will maintain the property's standards while striving to ensure guest and employee satisfaction that reflects Forbes Five Star service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Communicate guest needs and preferences within the departments and throughout the property to ensure that each guest has the most personalized and seamless experience possibleCreate a polished Lobby environment for all who enter the HotelCreate Strong relationships with our Transportation and Flower vendorsInvoice guests accordingly, ensuring profits where applicable Maintain and communicate cleanliness and condition needs in the Lobby and public areasService all requests of guests with gracious and sincere hospitalityControl Concierge inventory and ordering including Guest supplies and amenitiesEnsure accurate and timely guest package and shipping processes Evaluate the staffing requirements and prepare schedules weekly, adhering to budget goalsEnsure that the lobby concierge desk is presentable and attended to at all timesCommunicate anticipated business demands to both Front Office and Kings Club LeadershipEnsure staff's knowledge of hotel services, features, and amenitiesAssign specific tasks to the staff as they ariseMonitor and ensure that Hotel Bennett staff performs their job functions to the hotel's expected level of serviceConduct ongoing training with existing staff and ensure that new staff is certified as requiredAccommodate all guest requests in an accurate and efficient manner.Ensure payroll is documented and submitted accurately and promptlyEnsure payroll forecast are accurately completed and submitted timelyConduct performance appraisals of staff and provide coaching and counseling when neededPossess the ability to maintain a calm demeanor in a stressful, rapid environment and multitask when neededBe an ambassador of the Hotel Bennett at all times
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma; preferably college degree3 years' experience in a supervisory role in Guest Services, Front Desk, Housekeeping, or other area of operation within the Rooms Division
