Position Summary: Responsible for ensuring that guardianship clients receive all New York State Supreme Court, HRA and Selfhelp contractually mandated services; for supervising, guiding and directing all social services staff and administrative staff; for overseeing all areas of the social service component of the program; and for serving as the Program Director when necessary.
Principal Responsibilities:
Consult with and keep Program Director informed of activities, needs, and problems related to case management and program mandates.Supervise team leaders, social workers and other staff as needed. Evaluate the performance of staff periodically with at least one written review per year.Assist staff with the development and implementation of service plans for clients.Collaborate with appropriate physicians, psychologists, and other health care personnel to provide client evaluations and treatment.Coordinate an emergency coverage rotation plan and serve as supervisory backup for on-call social workers (24hrs/day, 7days/week).Ensure assignment of new client cases is completed timely and appropriately.Arrange mandated trainings for social work staff.Ensure that staff is continually updated with requirements and knowledge needed to effectively do their jobs.Attend meetings and relate to other community organizations, programs, etc. as the representative of the organization.Participate in staff meetings, training seminars and community activities as appropriateAdhere to organization's standards by completing annual mandatory trainings in a timely manner on topics including - but not limited to - Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, IT Security Awareness, Compliance, OSHA, HIPAA and any other training the organization may deem necessary in regards to regulatory compliance or good business practices.Supports organization's mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers.Adheres to the organization's policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
Salary Range : $75,000 - $80,000 per year commensurate with experience.
Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree (M.S.W.) Required.At least 1-3 years supervisory experienceProblem solving abilities while multi-tasking; ability to exercise sound judgmentStrong analytical and computer skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service and organizational skills
Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Business Office Environment with phone and computer use. Ability to attend meetings and training outside of office environment.
