  Cornell enrollment representatives across its administrative offices and within its colleges, schools, and units share a mission to partner with students, faculty, staff, and alumni, supporting strategic enrollment goals so that any person can find instruction in any study. Enrollment services are carried out through a matrixed organizational system in which staff in Division of Enrollment offices serve as partner and resource for colleges, schools, and units and all staff serving enrollment functions engage in regular collaboration.

  The Enrollment and Admissions team at Cornell Tech recruits and enrolls the highest caliber of diverse students for eight residential master's degree programs in business, law, engineering, and the information and computing sciences. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment and Admissions, Enrollment Operations works collaboratively with Cornell Tech stakeholders including Student Services, Information Technology, Strategic Communications, Finance, Facilities, and Housing to manage graduate enrollment processes at Cornell Tech. The Assistant Director is singularly instrumental to the application process, enrollment process, student visa process, and distribution of related materials for incoming students. The Assistant Director is also required to coordinate with Ithaca-based teams in the Office of the Vice Provost of Enrollment, S.C Johnson Graduate School of Management (Johnson), Cornell Law School, Cornell Graduate School, the Cornell College of Engineering, Cornell Computing and Information Sciences, the University Registrar, Central IT, and the Office for Global Learning, among other units to ensure a seamless enrollment process that conforms to established Cornell norms and policies. The Assistant Director supports and maintains all Cornell Tech enrollment enterprise systems, including applicant management and tracking system, within established Cornell University policies and requirements, in conjunction with Cornell Tech leadership and with the support and guidance of the Cornell Tech Information Technology team. The position also assists the Director of Admissions with the daily operations as well as providing coordination to several staff members (Coordinator, Student Ambassadors, and temporary employees).

  The Assistant Director is a part of the Cornell Tech enrollment outreach team and assists with coordination and delivery of recruitment activities including but not limited to attending graduate fairs, workshops on and off campus, information sessions, and admitted student days. The incumbent will coordinate with the Director and Strategic Communications on joint formulation, execution and evaluation of an integrated communications and marketing plan using appropriate metrics as well as data tools and other enrollment outreach enterprise systems including, but not limited to, LinkedIn and other social media campaigns, marketing videos, and nurture stream communications. The Assistant Director will assist in the design, planning, implementation, attendance and presentation at special events and other student enrollment duties as assigned. The incumbent is also responsible for regular reporting to campus leadership and other key stakeholders on the progress of enrollment efforts.

  Required Qualifications:

  Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.Experience working with diversity, equity, inclusion, and wellbeing programs.A bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of applicable professional work experience in enrollment management.Experience with information technology and systems management activities and exceptional oral and written communication skills are necessary.Experience developing new tools for capturing and evaluating data, and ability to conduct data analysis results to a diverse audience required. Very strong organizational skills and follow-through as well as the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Attention to detail, the ability to multitask and strategically plan is critical.Clear understanding of, or the ability to understand, higher education issues, and commitment to excellence and customer service. Demonstrated ability to be flexible and multi-task in a high-paced team environment and meet deadlines.Requires the ability to work independently and take initiative. Ability to negotiate and advocate effectively and tactfully. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining confidentiality and discretion. Some travel expected. This position will be hybrid and require a minimum of three days in the office.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Master's degree in a relevant or related field; and/or additional work experience beyond the 2-4-year minimum is preferred. Professional experience in the higher education and/or admissions and recruitment context, particularly in enrollment operations, is strongly preferred but not required. Experience with a CRM specifically with SLATE preferred, experience in a tech company/start-up "agile" working environment a plus. Knowledge of student visa processes, student visa requirements, and SEVIS/U.S. Department of Homeland Security processes heavily preferred.
