The Philadephia Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

Responsibilities:
Meal Preparation:Collaborate with our experienced culinary team to prepare and serve well-balanced, appetizing meals for our students. Your creativity and attention to detail will contribute to a positive dining experience.
Kitchen Support:Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This includes washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Menu Planning:Contribute ideas to menu planning sessions, taking into consideration nutritional requirements and diverse tastes. Your input will help create a variety of enticing and nutritious meal options.
Student Engagement:Interact with students in the dining area, promoting a positive and friendly atmosphere. Your welcoming attitude will contribute to a supportive community environment.
Training and Development:Participate in ongoing training opportunities to enhance your culinary skills and stay updated on industry best practices.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Advanced degrees preferred.
Prefer previous experience in food service.
Must be able to obtain ServSafe credentials.
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
Assists in the preparation and presentation of quality food.
Renders good customer service skills and engages young adults.
Assists in kitchen clean-up, washing dishes, cleaning and sanitizing the food preparation area to ensure sanitation and cleanliness of all food service areas.
Transports finished meals from preparation area to serving line.
Keeps serving counters stocked with prepared food.
Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.
Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standards.
