The faculty member will (a) serve as practicum coordinator for ourin-house practicum lab, (b) teach a variety of counseling courses, aswell as a variety of core counselor education courses, including PhD inCounselor Education and Supervision (CES) courses; (c) conduct researchto develop or further develop a strong scholarly agenda in the field ofCounselor Education and Supervision or closely related field; (d) mentorand advise MA and PhD in CES students; and (e) participate in serviceactivities at the University, College, and Department level, as well asengage in community and professional service activities. The Department of Counselor Education offers a Master of Arts inCounseling with a cognate in School Counseling and a cognate inAddiction Counseling. Minimum qualifications:
An earned doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from aCACREP-accredited program prior to August 2024, or have beenemployed as a full-time faculty member in a Counselor Educationprogram for a minimum of one full academic year before July 1, 2013Background in counseling (i.e., clinical experience workingchildren, adolescents, and/or adults, or couples and families)Evidence of effective teaching in a CACREP-accredited program inCounselor Education or equivalentDemonstrated potential for a strong research agenda in the field ofcounseling, including publications and evidence of pursuit ofinternal and external funding commensurate to rankProfessionalism and collegialityAbility to obtain License as Professional Counselor (LPC) in Idahoby Fall 2024 (https://dopl.idaho.gov/cou/)Preferred qualifications:
