The Assistant Account Manager supports the Marketing & Events team to strategically sell Cinemark USA as a premier event venue. This position will execute private events within a small territory from proposal stage to closing and be point of contact for external clients across all industry and market segments.
Responsibilities
Own small territory to negotiate and quote events, generate invoices, and collect payment Cultivate relationships with key clients to produce additional businessConduct market research to identify and acquire new clientsProspect new business partnerships to expand Cinemark's reachShadow to learn and serve as back-up for account managers and senior account managers to support during PTO and high demand seasons Serve as a formal resource for standards and best practices as part of the "Private Event Terms & Conditions"Support development and preparation of marketing campaigns to generate businessFocus on task-oriented successful completion to support overarching team goals Be proactive, solutions-oriented and think creatively toward continuous improvement to ensure exceptional client experienceContribute ideas that support Marketing & Events strategy to drive short-term and long-term revenue goalsCollaborate and align with internal teams, including Marketing counterparts, Film, IT, Accounting, and Food & Beverage
A Day in the Life of a Marketing & Events Assistant Account Manager:
Respond quickly to client requests in a friendly manner, follow up to ensure client satisfactionNegotiate and quote events, generate invoices and collect paymentManage event budgets, including catering and audio visual, submit invoicingOversee and maintain detailed records within the event management system including database records of contacts, responses, event details and attendanceAssist clients in menu and space planning; coordinate food, beverage, meeting room set-up, and other services requested by client; assure that all requirements are communicated and completed to the client's specificationsConsult with internal and external staff regarding all aspects of the event presentation including room arrangement, menus, service scheduling, facilities, equipment, parking, transportation, etc., as applicable to each eventEffectively communicate event logistics to theatre staff who handle all on-site operations and executionSupport Marketing & Events team as needed through database management, market research and administrative tasks
What You Will Need to Have:
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of experience in event management, marketing, sales or business development, or related experienceWorks well in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment where priorities change, processes evolve, and timeframes are criticalExcellent organizational skills with ability to learn quickly to maintain high-level of team productivityClient & Team Relations:Creative problem-solver to ensure operational excellence and guest satisfactionExcellent collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all organization levels.Highly motivated with an eager attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team to contribute to ambitious sales goalsSelf-starter, self-motivated and capable of seeking additional business opportunities while developing client relationships for long-term loyaltyStrong verbal and written communication skillsReporting & Analysis:Involvement in forecasting and financial planning for learning purposesGeneral understanding of business operations, objectives, strategies, process and information flowComfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheetsCommitted to regular maintenance of event management system to ensure accuracy of revenue reporting and client dataSales & Marketing:Willingness to learn how to influence, negotiate, upsell and cross-sell to reach maximum revenue potentialProven track record of setting, meeting and exceeding sales quotasKnowledge of marketing with the potential and attitude required to learnUnderstanding of KPIs and marketing techniques for event managementEvent & Project Management:Experience planning events through the full life cycle and executing multiple events simultaneouslyDetail-oriented with the ability to prioritize, plan and organize the business activity and deliver results under pressureMust be extremely organized and comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced environmentProven aptitude to establishing priorities, allocating resources and meeting deadlinesSalesforce and Pardot experienceProficiency in MS Office and TeamsBilingual in English and Spanish a plus
