[FEU].The primary function of this position will be the support, administration, and documentation of FirstEnergy's Substation Asset Management tools including but not limited to Cascade. This position provides the successful candidate with growth opportunities in a number of technologies and tools related to substations. This position will be responsible for system configuration, user management, product development, procedure development, data analysis and training for the applications supported by the Asset Systems group.Responsibilities include:Demonstrate and direct a solid commitment to all aspects of safety.Engage in open, honest, direct, and ongoing conversation amongst team members.Support the Emergency Plan through participating in the assigned storm duties including hazard response and hazard dispatch activities.Ability to manage a dynamic work environment with travel periodically between multiple local work locations and occasional overnight stayed required.Work with approximately 2000+ FE Cascade users.Supporting configuration of the Cascade system and other applicable applications to support regulatory compliance activities and maintenance of substation equipment.Conducting technical research and analyzing highly complex data; Interpreting results; Providing recommendations to high-level solutionsDeveloping and documenting process improvements and efficiencies to improve work products. This includes the development of standards and guidelines.Providing a high level of customer service, continuous support, and proactive involvement to leadership and fellow peers surrounding technical subject matterAnalyzing and interpreting prints, Bill of Materials (BOM), and vendor instruction manualsUtilizing project management skills to lead projects relating to the Cascade Asset Management Tool. Such projects include, but are not limited to, interfacing to other systems/tools, (such as SAP, OTCM, APM, Work Management Initiative (WMI) tools, & Transmission Oil Analysis)Working independently and within teams with the software vendors (DNV, ENOSERV, & ABB), FirstEnergy IT, and internal stakeholders on projects relating to Cascade and other substation technical tools.Providing support to FEU personnel on information and /or reports related to Substation AssetsQualifications include:Associate or Bachelor degree with a minimum 2 years professional work experience is preferred.In lieu of a degree, 5 years of direct, related experience will be considered.Understanding of substations and substation devices is preferred.Project Management experience preferred.Familiarity with substation maintenance practices preferred.Ability to read and understand substation prints and bills of material preferred.Strong analytical and technical abilitiesKnowledge of network communications and substation devices and architecture is preferred.Highly proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.Demonstrate a questioning attitude to continue to learn, produce results, and strength
