Description: Assembly Supervisor, General Plant Production,
Responsible to manage a team to meet Quality, Cost and Schedule targets for multiple programs. Prior experience in a similar type of manufacturing environment is preferred. Conflict resolution skills and the ability to build respectful and trusting working relationships along with motivational skills and the ability to energize teams is considered a plus. Candidate should have experience in a manufacturing organization and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement. Some work will be required updating work instructions, assisting in planning new production areas and improving existing work cells.
Work Responsibilities:
• Supervise in a fair, effective and constructive manner.
• Lead team meetings and communicate the companies’ goals, objectives and policies to the team.
• Communicate key metrics to leadership and teams.
• Supervise, coach, and motivate department employees.
• Coordinate and conduct employee training to meet the area needs.
• Review the performance of employees and provide timely feedback.
• Prepare performance appraisals, reviews then monitor and develop skill levels within team.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment. Ensure the workplace is operating in a safe and ergonomic manner.
• Arranges for on-the-job training and development of employee skills to ensure a continued high level of production and morale.
• Responsible for employee time keeping and works with employees to schedule vacations, overtime and training
• Facilitate and drive improvement initiatives that will help improve cost, schedule and quality.
• Embrace and lead 6S and continuous improvement activities.
• Conduct employment interviews when necessary
Basic Qualifications:
Associate's Degree and/or equivalent experience/combined education.
Ability to effectively lead personal in a supervisory role with 2 years of project lead experience.
Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques
Microsoft office suite knowledge and skills
Ability to track and manage cost, quality, and schedule, in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to define problems, collect data and make the necessary improvements.
Ability to obtain a secret security clearance so therefore must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's degree
Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with Auto CAD
Knowledge of IPC-620 and J-Std
LM21 Green Belt
Performance Management Team experience
Manufacturing Engineering experience
Root Cause Analysis
Ability to develop assembly aids/tools
Familiar with LM systems like, Flexnet labor recording, SAP and LMPeople
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
