Summary
The Arkansas Legal Fellowship is a competitive program designed to bring exceptional law students into the world of administrative law. Fellows will receive hands-on experience working at the highest levels of state government in policy making, ethics, and diverse areas of practice. The program’s goal is to produce a talented pool of future atorneys with demonstrated leadership ability. Successful applicants will rotate through multiple state departments where they will receive a variety of advanced legal experience.
Functions
The Arkansas Legal Fellowship is a six-to-twelve-week summer program. Students enrolled in any law school may apply. Each fellow will work in two cabinet-level agencies. Applicants may apply for admission to the June class of fellows (6 weeks), the July class of fellows (6 weeks), or both (12 weeks). Fellows will engage with the secretaries and general counsels of each department throughout the fellowship. During the Fellowship, there will be multipile networking events where distinguished speakers will discuss constitutional values, administrative law, and their own varied leadership experiences.
Dimensions
The Fellowship will pay $19.98 per hour based on a 40-hour workweek.

Minimum Qualifications
To be eligible to apply for the Fellowship, applicants must be U.S. citizens, 18 years of age on or before the first day of the fellowship and have completed at least 15 academic law school credit hours.
