What you'll do...
We are seeking an Area Manager Asset Protection to join our team in Sparks, NV! The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and expertise in various areas, including data and digital literacy, environmental protection, operational excellence, partnership and collaboration, employee health and safety, asset protection and security, AP training delivery, risk management, process improvement, influential communication, and transportation operations.
Responsibilities:
Articulate the levers that influence data and ensure data quality
Organize and process information for analysis
Develop and implement technology changes across multiple processes
Evaluate air, water, and waste pollution and support regulatory visits
Prepare audit reports for management review
Participate in evaluating pollution control and management
Integrate AP considerations into process design
Interpret and evaluate compliance status reports
Develop and implement company policies and procedures relating to environmental risks
Ensure compliance with environmental legislation
Explain operational functions and roles within assigned department or unit
Clarify the interdependence of support functions and line operating functions
Identify and list common tasks and activities performed by operations functions
Identify and engage stakeholders and support process updates and changes
Solve simple business issues and demonstrate functional knowledge of the business unit
Participate in OSHA and other regulatory inspections
Maintain health and safety records according to OSHA guidelines
Monitor facilities for safety hazards and report violations and accidents
Assist in the implementation of access control procedures and maintain loss prevention records
Support the delivery of training programs and solicit feedback from participants
Produce and interpret risk assessment and management reports
Identify and document risks relevant to assigned function or unit
Implement risk management processes and conduct risk assessments
Define critical workflows and identify and improve process problems
Coach team members on process improvement skills
Communicate effectively within the scope of work and present to team members and partners
Utilize relevant data and fact-based information to provide recommendations
Build professional networks and actively listen to others
Ensure proper completion of transportation-related documents and comply with applicable laws and regulations
Monitor and evaluate performance metrics and review accident files
Requirements:
Proficient knowledge in data collection, analytics, asset protection policies, operational processes, stakeholder management, OSHA guidelines, asset protection policies, training methodologies, risk management processes, and process improvement techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
Familiarity with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
Adaptable and open to change

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety Management; Industrial Hygiene; Environmental Science, Chemical/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Option 2: 2 years' experience in the field of Environmental, Health and Safety within Supply Chain, Retail, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
2 years' experience in Continuous Improvement methodologies (for example Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), World Class Manufacturing (WCM) , Lean Six Sigma) within Supply Chain or manufacturing environments.
