Our work depends on a ArcSight Engineer/IT Security Specialist joining our program's Security team for this large, complex task order to serve as a subject matter expert in SIEM technologies and methodologies (OpenText ArcSight and Splunk) and provide O&M support to the customer and their Stakeholder communities in achieving their critical mission.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
• Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction
• Supports and maintains high throughput and high performance ESM installations (OS, application software, appliances, vendor management, and databases)
• Provides and supports requirements for event log collection and analysis
• Interfaces with client and internal teams to facilitate proper onboarding of event log data from log identification to SIEM event analysis and tuning
• Provides consultation and expert advice regarding content capabilities and structures to client and internal teams
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree, preferably in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field of study
• Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
• Required Technical Skills: implementation expertise with ArcSight Logger, ArcSight ESM, ArcSight Management Center (ArcMC) and ArcSight Smart Connectors; extensive Insider Threat Knowledge; extensive User Identity Content Knowledge (Identity Risk Scoring); excellent Unix system administration skills; implementation experience of Zookeeper, Kafka, and Kubernetes; extensive experience in maintaining Kafka Topics and Integration into ArcSight Transformation Hub; extensive Regex experience; Splunk Content experience
• Security Clearance Level: Public Trust (DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability)
• Required Skills and Abilities: excellent writing and documentation skills; strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for security events, technical issues, and configuration issues; strong communication skills to convey issues and solution to other team members
• Preferred Skills: 10+ years of related experience; proficient in the development of ArcSight Use Cases
