Description:
Assist in the development of design alternatives using a variety of media, including hand drawing, computer visualization, and physical models.
Work in coordination with and oversight of the Project Team Leader, the Directors of Architecture & Interior Design, and the Principal Designer / Architect.
Assist in the development of presentation documents and make design presentations to clients.
Prepare construction documents in coordination with the multi-discipline project team of architects and engineers.
Coordinate project requirements and development of construction documents with sub consultants.
Meet with product vendors to review specific products to be incorporated into the projects.
Perform code reviews and meet with local code officials to review and determine specific local code requirements and project compliance.
Perform bid phase and construction phase tasks including site visits, review of shop drawings, responding to requests for information, and issuing clarifications.
Provide first-level QA/QC (self-evaluate own work). Assure the quality and content of both presentation and construction documents appropriate to ZWA project delivery standards.
Prepare first-level code review and support the permit submittal processes. Field verification of existing conditions

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in architecture or interior architecture
6+ years project experience – restaurant, retail, hospitality and quick turn-around commercial project exp.
Hand sketching and using computer software for design.
CD production experience
Revit, AutoCAD
Sketchup, Photoshop, 3D Studio, Rhino, InDesign, for rendering
Building physical models of conceptual designs as well as final building models.
Experience and knowledge of all phases of projects Conceptual through CD's
Detail oriented
Ability to keep up in high paced work environment
Strong communication skills, verbal and written
Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate willingness to take on new responsibilities
Work independently
Partner with other group members (both creative and account) to ensure high-quality creative products on a constant basis that maintains the integrity of art concept to ensure they fit the client, brand, and retailer objectives.
