The Toxics Cleanup Program{rel="nofollow"} (TCP) program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill an Aquatic Lands Cleanup Unit Supervisor (WMS Band 1) position. The position is located Headquarters Office (HQ) in Lacey, WA.{rel="nofollow"} Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station. As the Aquatic Lands Cleanup Unit Supervisor, you are responsible for providing leadership, strategic planning, professional development and technical project support to your thirteen staff. You'll be charged with promoting a cooperative work environment to maintain unit cohesion, by assigning and directing work, leading and supporting the hiring and training of staff, promoting staff development, and handling personnel issues. You'll also be responsible for coordinating cleanup and natural resources restoration efforts with the Headquarters Cleanup Section Manager, developing and coordinating sediment cleanup strategies and policies for statewide and Puget Sound Initiative (PSI) contaminated sediment work in compliance with cleanup laws and regulations. The mission of the Toxics Cleanup Program (TCP) is to protect Washington's human health and the environment by preventing and cleaning up pollution and supporting sustainable communities and natural resources for the benefit of future and current generations.
