Job Title: Solutions Architect and Lead Developer
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Application Architect to oversee the lifecycle of new development on existing and future products. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in reviewing product requirements, designing product architecture, and managing daily product development efforts. The successful candidate will be adept at managing complex interactions between business processes and technologies, translating product specifications into production-level applications, and fostering a collaborative development environment.
Responsibilities:
Technical Specifications:
Aid in writing the technical section of functional specifications for new product development.Requirements Understanding:
Collaborate with the product team to thoroughly understand requirements and create detailed functionality specifications.Release Governance:
Govern the deployment of alpha and beta releases during the stabilization of new product development.Mentoring and Oversight:
Mentor developers by providing both technical and non-technical guidance and oversight.
Develop cross-product frameworks, best practices, and establish/maintain technical architecture standards.
Solution Architecture:
Architect, design, and document solutions to product specifications for shared capabilities throughout the architecture.Release Planning:
Assist in product release planning and assess feature viability and effort required.Timeline Management:
Control the timeline for product development, ensuring milestones are met in a timely manner.Code Reviews and Best Practices:
Conduct code reviews, identifying best practices and efficiency steps to enhance stability and capability.Development Standards:
Set and grow development standards, guidelines, procedures, processes, and metrics.Hands-On Development:
Get hands-on with code development for web-based n-tier applications.Team Development:
Help team members grow their abilities and strengthen capabilities through effective coaching and support.Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of architectural decisions, frameworks, and best practices.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience as an Application Architect or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
Proficient in coding and hands-on development experience with web-based n-tier applications.
Familiarity with product release cycles and deployment processes.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
