  Application Technology Analyst

  This is a hybrid position primarily based in London (Near Moorgate). We're committed to your flexibility and wellbeing and our hybrid strategy currently requires two days a week in the office, giving you the option to work remotely for some of your working week.   Computershare's Governance Services group is a business line focused on the support and development of our enterprise class Entity Management application - GEMS (Global Entity Management System) and our Board Materials portal software - BoardWorks as well as several others governance-based applications.

  Computershare Governance Services UK currently have an exciting and rare opportunity available to join our Application Technology Support team. In this technically rewarding role you will expand your IT knowledge and become an expert on Computershare's applications and infrastructure.

  In this role you will work as part of our dedicated application technology support team, troubleshooting issues, supporting day-to-day requirements of the Business and helping to improve the overall quality of service. This is a hands-on IT focused role, suited to an individual with experience in IT and Application/Infrastructure support. If you are focused, adaptable and have a willingness to learn then this is the role for you.

  Responsibilities

  Management and execution of onsite, remote and Azure cloud-based installation, configuration and troubleshooting of the suite of CGS web-based SaaS applications.Contribution to design and implementation of Cloud and On-Premise application hosting architecture. Ensure that there are no avoidable issues after software installs and upgrades in client production environments.Performing in-house installs and upgrades on pre-release versions of the software and providing technical input on installation and technical guides.Providing technical help on various in-house hardware, network and software issues.Working with the CGS client services team to ensure smooth scheduling and completion of tasks.Ownership of new cases and escalations and provide support to internal and external clients.Scope a customer's issue by collecting the relevant facts; investigate the problem by doing your own research and by involving other teams as needed.Consult and collaborate with your immediate peers or colleagues around the world. Escalate to management as necessary, acting internally as a customer advocate and keeping the customers informed. Document your technical work and research in detailed and comprehensive manner.Prioritize your work to accomplish the most important and urgent requests first. - Maintain a proactive approach to customer happiness, identifying and correcting customer satisfaction concerns before they become problems.Participation in rotating on-call schedule for critical issue escalation. Flexible with working time, some jobs must be performed outside normal working hours

  What will you bring to the role?

  5+ Years working experience. (not limited to this area)Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and IT management best practicesStrong understanding of Load Balancing, Clustering, Failover Configuration, NetworksActive Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and SAML knowledge or similar 3rd party experience (CA Siteminder, Okta, etc)Understanding of AgileFamiliar with Change Control methodology and experience working within a controlled environmentKnowledge and experience implementing and supporting the following technologies: Windows Server Azure Resource Manager Azure IaaS, PaaS offeringsAzure Active DirectoryPowerShell DevOps Deployment automation such as Octopus Deploy/ADO
