ROLE SUMMARY
The Application Development Specialist will partner with the Digital Site Lead to proactively identify and champion business value-driven Digital aligned initiatives and strategies from PGS Digital. The position with the Digital Site Lead will drive the optimum balance between quality, cost, and maximizing value of our Digital systems and services investment.The Application Development Specialist with the Digital Site Lead will manage the Site Digital systems/project portfolio, and ensure associated programs are delivered that meet or exceed site goals. The position will partner with the Digital Site Lead, and site stakeholders to understand the site business needs while collaborating with the broader Digital organization to drive transparency and align technology capabilities with PGS and PGS Digital strategies.The Application Development Specialist along with the Digital Site Lead will be the point of contact for all custom applications at the sites. This includes oversight of operational support for all locally available Digital systems and services to ensure service levels are met and providing functional support for the custom applications.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate actively as a business peer in site team meetings and sessions to ensure that future business needs will be addressed appropriately through Digital capabilities.Meet with functional management to evaluate client needs, resolve problems and obstacles, and maximize effective interactions and functioning. Proactively provide solutions to complex business process issues.Engage across the Digital organization to identify innovative ideas, best practices, and continuous improvement opportunities to promote and maximize the value of existing solutions. Support site continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices.Provide support to Digital and Site driven strategic programs, projects, and initiatives through partnerships with relevant Digital and Business teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions to the site.Collaborate with the PGS Digital Solution Area and Digital Infrastructure teams in system lifecycle activities such as upgrades, enhancements/system expansions, or new project requests to optimize the value of existing solutions as well as new system platforms. Support the implementation of the business systems Plan of Record (POR) to ensure timely implementation, resource planning, and resolution of issues.Work with the Digital Site Lead to Oversee the Digital incident and service request process for the site. Build a collaborative partnership and establish key contacts within the PGS Digital support model and with the Digital Infrastructure support model to ensure service levels are met.Engage with PGS Digital Compliance to ensure the right policies and programs are in place to maintain system compliance with cGMP regulations and Pfizer policies and standards. Where required, serve as, or help the business identify a Site Information Security Officer (ISO) to ensure compliance with Pfizer's Information Security policies. Institute and maintain site Disaster Recovery practices in concert with the site Business Continuity Plan (BCP).Lead site level inspection readiness activities relating to Custom Applications and promote awareness with the site Audit and Quality teams.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant must have a Bachelor's degree with three years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree with one year of relevant experience; OR Associate's degree with six years of relevant experience; OR eight years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent1 Years .NET programming and project experience (.NET MVC (C#) & .NET C#)Demonstrated capability in communicating effectively and embracing diversity.Demonstrated capability in influencing stakeholders and building business partnerships to deliver results.Demonstrated skills in leading, planning, and developing successful business systems and software development projects.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Business systems subject knowledge in a warehouse/distribution environmentDistribution and process automation systems knowledge2 Years SQL administration and development (SQL 2016)Experience with Lean/Operational Excellence tools and driving process efficiencies (Six Sigma, Kaizen etc.)Ability to manage multiple priorities between BAU issues and projects.Knowledge and expertise with the following disciplines:

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $72,700.00 to $121,200.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
