Job Summary:
Des Moines Public Schools is seeking a licensed educational administrator who is equity focused, possesses deep instructional knowledge and is results oriented as it relates to improved instructional practices and evidenced in student achievement. The Principal is responsible for the implementation of the district’s education and special programs through the supervision, support, and evaluation of teachers. Guided by the principles of the Iowa Standards for School Leaders (ISSL), the school leadership framework, and the district’s vision, mission, and goals, the Principal will provide instructional leadership support to teachers and staff.Successful candidates for this position will possess:Master’s Degree in Educational LeadershipIowa Administrative Certification with evaluator approvalHighly Qualified candidates for this position will possess:Specialist or Doctorate Degree

Tax Sheltered Annuity (TSA): the contribution is14% of the base salary.
An example of $90,000 salary @14% TSA= $12,600 in district contribution to TSA
