About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Ansible Lead Engineer who will join the IaC engineering team within the CTO organization. This candidate will be part of the Ansible platform engineering team developing and maintaining the ansible CI/CD pipeline. The ideal candidate has a strong and broad technical background in designing, developing, and deploying automation solutions using Ansible in addition to building solutions to meet the needs of our customers and partners.
In this role, you will:Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groupsLead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinkingTranslate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutionsProvide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutionsMaintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organizationStrategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadershipBuild CI/CD orchestration pipelines for ansible and deploy/test across environmentsIntegrate with enterprise tools and environment standardsShape technical proposals to be commercially acceptable to the customer Defines the approach to larger/more complex solution development and acceptance testingContributes to the overall platform architectureDesign solutions of significant size and complexity Collaborate with Application teams and onboard new application platforms onto the Ansible framework and author playbooksLead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and businessDevelop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutionsContribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirementsDrive solutions to reduce recoveryReview and analyze solutions for security, secrets management and key rotationsDesign, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practicesResolve troublesome trends as they developDevelop a long range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurringDirect the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure successCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goalRequired Qualifications, US:
5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationExperience in creating and deploying Ansible frameworks for large customer baseHands on development experience writing ansible playbooksExperience managing configuration, build and deployments for enterprise software solutions.Experience using tools such as: Jira, Harness, GitHub, Jenkins, etcDevelopment experience with Python or Perl or other scripting languages.Knowledge of Linux technologiesMulti-tasking experience - managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Excellent communication skills - written and spoken.Understanding of network fundamentals, APIs and HTTP protocolAbility to understand critical issues and bring appropriate resolution to complex issuesHigh degree of professionalism, self-motivation and problem-solving attitudeDesired Qualifications:Experience working with ServiceNowExperiencing working with Microsoft (Azure) or Google (GCP) cloud providersExperience working on platform automation team Posting End Date:
