Description:
Position Purpose:
The Annual Giving and Donor Relations Specialist orchestrates the MercyOne North Iowa Foundation’s annual giving strategy through various channels, managing donor programs, and collaborating with internal teams to align fundraising efforts. Direct engagement with donors is required to identify potential major contributors.
What you will Do:
Responsible for comprehensive annual giving strategy that includes external direct mail, email, social media, and internal colleague giving and grateful patient programs.
Develop and manage stewardship, cultivation, and recognition programs for all standard donor constituencies.
Collaborate with other development team members, service line leaders and marketing and communications colleagues to align annual giving with other fundraising, patient stories and wider communication efforts.
Proactively engage in personal communication with annual donors as appropriate to steward new donors and identify major and planned giving prospects.
Utilize or develop best practices for documenting and reporting on all activity, attaining high proficiency in Blackbaud CRM and Blackbaud Internet Solutions.
Hours/Schedule:
Full Time, Monday - Friday working 8AM - 4:30PM
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
Developing and implementing annual giving strategies, including direct mail, email, and social media campaigns.
Managing stewardship, cultivation, and recognition programs for various donor groups.
Proficiency in using Blackbaud CRM and Blackbaud Internet Solutions, or similar donor management software.
Excellent interpersonal, writing, and general communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical skills to track and report on fundraising efforts
