The newly established Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine (RowanSSVM) of Rowan University is seeking applications for a tenure-track or a non-tenure track position position at the faculty rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Animal Welfare and Behavior.
Successful candidates will be expected to participate in the teaching, service, and research mission of the RowanSSVM. Teaching responsibilities will include the design, implementation, and delivery of an integrated professional curriculum constructed around organ-system blocks as well as participation in graduate training programs. Candidates are expected to train and supervise DVM and graduate students, develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program, and participate in the provision of clinical services as appropriate. Opportunities for collaborative research exist within the School and the University as a whole. Scholarly activities involving basic, translational, clinical, or pedagogical research are encouraged.
Minimum qualifications include a doctoral degree (DVM, PhD, or equivalent). Additional graduate degrees, board certification, or board eligibility are desirable. The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the term of employment. Visa sponsorship is possible for the right candidates. Candidates with clinical practice responsibilities must hold or be eligible to obtain licensure as a Veterinarian in the State of New Jersey. Salary level and appointment level is commensurate with education and experience.

Facilities will include an academic teaching facility aimed at the delivery of pre-clinical training, a teaching hospital, and a research facility. Major metropolitan areas in the northeast corridor (New York City, Washington, DC) are within an easy 2 to 3-hour drive. The Jersey beaches are only an hour drive from campus.
