Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
8 years of experience in project/program management
3 years of experience with mobile Android applications, Media, or Android frameworks
Preferred qualifications: Experience with audio engineering, video encoding, or video playback
Ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships externally and internally
Ability to apply problem-solving, business acumen, and analytical skills
Project management, relationship management, and change management skills
Influencing and stakeholder management skills

About the job
The Android Media team is responsible for providing a framework for the core audio, video, and DRM components of Android. As a Program Manager responsible for Android Media, you will work closely with Software Engineers, Technical Program Managers, Product Managers, User Experience, and Engineering Productivity to ensure Media features are launched on spec, time, and quality. You will need to develop strategy, define and drive ambiguous programs and processes that address significant challenges that directly impact Android business and objectives and key results.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $164,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Develop strategy, define, and drive execution of ambiguous programs that directly impact Android business.
Drive planning and execution for Media features on a yearly and quarterly basis.
Coordinate the launch of Media features via the Android platform release and Mainline release processes.
Identify risks and work with the Media leads on solutions to enable Third Party developers and OEM partners to leverage Media features.
