We are seeking an Analytics Engineer to support the GMP Services team. In this role, you will be heavily involved in the implementation and tagging of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) properties, primarily through Google Tag Manager (GTM), as well as working with a ticketing system to field and triage requests. This role supports broader teams with initiatives including tagging and implementation support for personalization and marketing pixels.
The Analytics Engineer role requires the ability to demonstrate and hone skills in auditing and implementing Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, while adhering to general digital analytics best practices.
Role and Responsibilities
Work with GMP Operating Unit clients, under the direction of the Senior Director of Analytics Service, to provide ad-hoc and project-based client supportOperate within Jira Service Management to field requests Configure GA4 properties in accordance with best practicesCreate GA4 documentation, providing data layer and other tracking specifications to app/web development teamsQA and test GA4 implementations, including app and web data streamsBuild smart, efficient implementations through tag management solutions, including Google Tag ManagerEffectively troubleshoot and isolate potential GA4 data collection issuesEstablished domain expertise in clients' business space to drive resultsDemonstrate a grasp of the fundamental importance of clean data to empower successful digital marketing initiatives, in support of larger business objectivesEnsure client expectations are met and results are deliveredArticulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, both in speech and writingCultivate and manage relationships within the team and across BounteousAdapt to a fast-paced work environment with the ability to overcome technical and business challengesDemonstrate high intellectual bandwidth, as well an ability to prioritize and work on the right things at the right timeActively participate in thought leadershipWork with career coach to define OKRs and complete objectives
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Google Analytics 4, including implementation, configuration, and customization Experience deploying Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag ManagerA focus on digital analytics, analytics implementation, and/or marketing analyticsAn understanding of how to read and interpret reportsFundamental knowledge of GA4/Firebase app trackingBaseline knowledge of HTML/JavaScript with isolating and manipulating DOM elementsAbility to speak to big data and understand what's possible regarding activationExposure to/working knowledge of other tag management systems (i.e. Segment, Tealium, etc.) a plusExperience with BigQuery or data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI a plusAn internship in digital analytics preferred A degree in IT, Digital Marketing Analytics, or related field and/or equivalent experience preferred
$85,000 - $110,000 a year
Individual pay is determined by many factors, including experience, relevant education or training, and organizational needs. The mid-range to maximum of the salary range is generally reserved for individuals who are highly experienced in the role.
