Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience working with analytical tools or data analysis (e.g., SQL, Python, Business Intelligence/dashboards).
Preferred qualifications:
3 years of experience working on: signal development, data analysis, cyber security or anti-abuse. Practical experience in large scale data analysis, tools and processes.
Experience in complex engineering systems and processes.
Experience with data collection/transformation workflows and database design, and managing a diverse set of stakeholders.
Knowledge of security, malware, phishing, or related topics.
Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) with the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.
Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. Trust and Safety is working with technologies in order to keep users safe and improve the quality of Google's products. As part of this team, you will develop and manage cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Product, Legal, and Operations teams in a multifaceted effort to improve our processes for identifying and resolving policy and quality issues on Gmail product.
The Trust and Safety Gmail team is responsible for keeping malicious and unwanted emails away from Gmail users (consumers and Workspace enterprises) while also ensuring our own systems are not abused. We partner with Workspace Abuse and Safety Protections and ensure a safer Workspace experience for all. We collaborate with many groups across Google including Safe Browsing, Product Counsels, and many more. We use ML/AI solutions to detect abuse combined with advancing strong policy and technical requirements to push the overall email ecosystem forward.

Analyze metrics, look into underlying vulnerabilities, and design solutions. Work with cross-functional teams around the company, building anti-abuse protections and advising on counter-abuse strategies.
Extract, transform, and analyze Google log data. Work with large, complex data sets. Solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods as needed. Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product Managers, Program Manager groups to develop required documents based on robust data analysis and granular product understanding.
Initiate and implement design of abuse protections.
