Job Responsibilities
Analyze Merchandising Performance: Conduct comprehensive analysis of merchandising performance across all product divisions and supermarket banners. This includes examining sales data, pricing, promotions, and customer trends to identify key insights and opportunities for improvement.Data Interpretation: Collect, interpret, and synthesize data from various sources, such as point-of-sale systems, market research, and internal databases, to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization in merchandising strategies.Performance Metrics: Develop and implement metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of merchandising initiatives. Continuously monitor and track these metrics to identify areas of success and areas for improvement.Reporting and Presentations: Create and deliver regular reports, dashboards, and presentations that provide clear and actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Communicate findings, recommendations, and performance updates to support data-driven decision-making.Collaboration with Category Merchandising Team: Work closely with the Category Merchandising team to understand their objectives and strategies. Provide analytical support and contribute to the development of strategic merchandising plans, assortment optimization, and promotional activities.Cross-functional Partnership: Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team and other key stakeholder groups, such as Marketing, Operations, and Finance, to ensure seamless integration of data, insights, and strategies across the organization. Proactively share relevant information and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.Future Performance Forecasting: Utilize data-driven insights and forecasting techniques to predict future merchandising performance. Identify potential risks and opportunities and recommend strategies to optimize performance.Industry Analysis: Stay updated with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging market dynamics. Provide context and benchmarking for merchandising analysis, enabling the organization to stay ahead of industry changes.Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to streamline and automate merchandising analytics processes. Enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy while maintaining data integrity and consistency.
