JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
This position will perform data analyses, identifying/ implementing solutions, and drive a more efficient process. The individual will assist with a wide variety of data, help develop performance management metrics, and apply appropriate change management tools. They will directly interact and assist with all aspects of Meter to Cash organization as well as the power delivery teams to ensure end-to-end process gaps are identified and corrected. Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to multi-task needed.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze the current workforce management tool (BDEX)to optimize productivity by ensuring all billing tasks are assigned timely to appropriate resources driving reduced delayed bills across all operating companies.
Conducts complex business data and process analysis to identify root cause of issues and develop recommendations to management based on findings.
Mentors team members on how to analyze customers’ accounts and resolve issues.
Maintains a continuous improvement mindset, always looking for new ideas and or potential solutions for key issues.
Takes immediate action when confronted with a problem or potential issue. Help identify possible solutions and drive results.
Lead cross-functional teams (IT/Regulatory/Billing/Tax, etc) as needed to improve processes that support a long-term resolution, including but not limited to researching, reviewing, and analyzing effectiveness and efficiency of requirements by developing strategies to elevate processes
Assist in the BDEX enhancement project to ensure all business requirements and use cases for business process exception management are included and implemented.
Analyze operational data and information and provide reports, forecasting/trend analysis and recommendations to appropriate work groups.
Documents analyses using a consistent methodology and nomenclature to ensure that analyses are preserved for future use.
Identify business solutions/opportunities and provide recommendations to influence stakeholders using industry and departmental expertise to support best practices. Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to improve the end-user experience.
Identify areas of opportunity to improve reports, analytical tools, and self-service capabilities in collaboration with other departments to drive efficiency and support operational decision-making.
Adhere to protocols and requirements for data quality assurance and ensure that all analysis, trends and project work are within corporate requirements and SOX controls/compliancy.
Create & maintain the SharePoint site for the Customer Organization by ensuring it is current and relevant to all key stakeholders.
Stay abreast of regulatory or political changes that may impact Entergy policy decision making.
Ability to understand and interpret rate tariffs into the billing system as needed. Will work closely with other departments in creation of new rate offerings and give insight into the billing side when needed.
Participate in user acceptance testing for a multitude of different projects at any given time, including but not limited to new rate design/new application design.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position.
Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field required or equivalent work experience.Minimum experience required of the position.
Analyst SR : At least 6+ years of relevant professional experienceMinimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
High degree of proficiency of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills with experience in leading multiple levels of projects and/or assignments
Strong verbal and written communication skills (must be able to communicate with all levels)
Exceptional presentations and reporting skills (suitable for use with executives, regulators, and key constituents outside of the Company
Strong adaptability and capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.
In-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its use in management decision-making
Experience working in a utility environment with advanced meter infrastructure (AMI).
Experience working with Entergy's customer service/accounting systems including but not limited to:
SAP (SAP for Utilities preferred) or similar ERP system (Oracle, PeopleSoft, etc)
AMI MDMS (EnergyIP preferred)
AMI HES (UtilityIQ preferred)
Other utility relevant system applications
