A thriving Lending Business is core to the success of American Express and achieving its growth aspirations. The International Proprietary Lending & Product Team’s vision is to be a growth engine that supports lending growth strategies across markets.
The Pricing team is responsible for driving revenue growth and improve profitability across international markets, both from the existing portfolio and newly acquired customers. The team leads pricing and yield management strategies by identifying growth opportunities, driving robust business insights, collaborating with business partners, deploying new capabilities, and executing “test and learn” tactics across international markets. Underpinning this is continued focus on governance and guardrails that delivers the best outcomes for our customers and shareholders.
This role provides an opportunity to lead and inform lending growth and pricing strategies through analytics leveraging internal and external data. In addition, this role will also focus on overseeing pricing governance and ensuring 100% compliance to governance related activities.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Manage Pricing Steering Committee and ensure pricing change proposals are adhering to guidelines laid out by the committee.
Demonstrate effective communication and transparency across local markets, Pricing Steering Committee members, and senior leadership regarding product and pricing changes.
Oversee pricing governance processes such as Internal Controls testing, A/R system validation exercise etc.
Conduct periodic quality control checks to ensure operational excellence.
Lead strategic analysis across international markets to inform pricing strategies and identify revenue generating opportunities.
Conduct performance tracking of deployed initiatives and develop proposal for enhancements.
Strong quantitative and analytics acumen to support decision-making rigor.
Demonstrates ability to utilize financial, credit bureau and behavioral data to develop business insights shaping growth strategies and initiatives.
Solid understanding of the economics of lending products and key levers of profitability
Minimum Qualifications
Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
Self-Starter with strong organizational skills
Proficiency in SQL and SAS
Experience with a lending/credit product is strongly preferred
Bachelor's Degree Required
