  The Group Insurance, Internal Controls Team supports the priorities of Group Insurance by helping ensure that the businesses' risks are well understood and appropriate mitigants are in place. We work with all areas of the Group business and Control Partners to support informed business decisions being made related to risks in proposed and existing processes. The Team will work to strengthen standard operating procedures, reduce and mitigate risks, develop and implement action plans, and partner with the business to inspire change. Joining the Internal Controls team provides a tremendous opportunity to learn all areas of the Group Insurance business and interact with senior leaders.

  We are seeking a manager, Operational Risk Associate Management to be a part of the business risk team. This individual will help to drive outcomes and meet business goals balancing growth and protection. This will require an understanding of the Group Insurance business, industry, and risk management principles.

  The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Beginning January 2023, the expectation is that you are on-site every Tuesday and Wednesday (subject to change).

  What you can expect:

  Assist in the driving and execution of enterprise risk standards and frameworkParticipating on cross functional teams and influencing peers to balance growth and risk takingAssist in providing Operational Risk support and advice to business partners, including facilitating assessments and ensuring appropriate controls are implementedAssist with researching, evaluating, and/or resolution of risk issues impacting the business, including conducting control reviews or gap analyses for existing processes, as neededAssist with the analyzing and reporting of operational risk events, analyzing root causes of control breakdowns, assisting the business in developing remediation plansWorking with business partners to assist with addressing developing issues and existing control gapsAccountable for documenting risk outcomes in company systemsAssist in the administration of Risk Committees

  Relevant business / risk or control function experienceExperience within a risk management (Audit, Risk or Compliance) or business functionAbility to influence others to achieve desired results, while maintaining operational excellence on business-as-usual activities

  Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $86,300.00 to $128,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
