Role Value Proposition for Capital Markets Group (CMG): MetLife Investment Management (MIM) was launched in 2012 to capitalize on our strong investment management performance for our General Account and currently manages over $568.2 billion of combined assets globally, as of September 30, 2023. The CMG analyst will support the Securities Lending business.
The Capital Markets Group manages $70B of MetLife spread margin businesses and is comprised of two teams: Securities Lending (“SL”) and Capital Markets Investments Products (“CMIP”). CMGintegrates the management and sourcing of assets and “non-insurance” liabilities through a centralized team focused on pursuing spread businesses within a consistent, disciplined Asset-Liability Match (“ALM”) approach. The team manages the asset allocation strategy for funds raised from the liability placement of products including securities lending, funding agreement-backed notes and commercial paper, Federal Home Loan Bank advances, and Farmer Mac advances.
The analyst will provide assistance with portfolio management and provide ad hoc analysis on other topics. The analyst will utilize systems such as BlackRock Aladdin, Excel, Bloomberg, and other tools to analyze and address portfolio needs.
