About the Opportunity

The selected candidate may be offered a position within the same job family, at a level that is lower than what was posted. This will be determined based upon the results of the interview process which considers the candidate's skills, work history, experience level, and other relevant qualifications.
This position reports to the Manager, Market and Customer Program Analysis in Customer Policy and Solutions.
This position will be classified as Mobile with primary work location as home, but may work at or visit a facility, based on business need.
The Customer Policy & Solutions group develops strategies for filings and programs on energy solutions for end-use customers and policies that maximize customer benefits while driving regulated electric utility initiatives for electrification, affordability, and sustainability.
This position is responsible for gathering data, performing analysis, and drafting regulatory filings that support the strategies, policies, and regulatory proceedings.
Responsibilities include:
Reviewing and analyzing legislation, utility filings, regulations, orders and other industry and related information and providing summaries, comments, and recommendations
Aggregating data and analyses to help establish and support policies, positions, and programs that maximize customer benefits while driving regulated electricity growth in a sustainable manner
Developing program plan documents, presentations and other supporting information used for review with stakeholders and obtaining approvals
Participating in working groups or other teams for the development and implementation of energy transition and electrification programs
Developing regulatory filings, providing technical expertise and industry intelligence on energy transition and electrification technologies or practices, analyzing and developing program initiatives, performing or managing evaluation, research and analysis of program impacts, costs and cost-effectiveness assessments
Researching industry best practices, new methods, and alternative measures for performance
Compiling and analyzing performance statistics for communication, leadership updates and opportunity improvement
Working across the organization to support the needs of customer-facing and legal/regulatory representatives
Working across the Customer Experience group to ensure effective and consistent reporting and analysis
Qualifications include:
Two-to-four-year degree in Finance, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field along with a minimum of 4 years professional (exempt) work experience required.
In lieu of a degree, 7 years of professional (exempt) direct, related experience is required.
Relevant work experience includes customer program development and/or implementation, regulatory and policy engagement, customer engagement, energy efficiency, business case development, project management, and rate design.
Understanding of energy transition/electrification products and technologies, customer electricity usage patterns, rate pricing structures, and state regulatory policies
Experience in data gathering, reporting, analysis, costing, and making recommendations
Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate and present work products
Develops effective working relationships and credibility with other departments and employees and interacts professionally within all levels of the organization
Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on understandable and clear writing and presentation skills
Must be flexible in job assignments and hours
Periodic travel may be required
