  We are seeking an Analyst to join the Equity Private Markets executive team in New York. Our team delivers on broad responsibilities supporting EPM's leadership in the development and execution of strategic priorities for the business. BlackRock's Private Markets business is experiencing tremendous growth and continues to be a strategic priority for the firm. This role is dynamic and requires a sharp professional with the skills to absorb a high volume of information from a complex, growing business and turn that information into insights, actions and outputs to drive the success of the business platform.

  The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of tasks and will be able to work well independently as well as in a team environment. The candidate must be exceptionally well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenges of balancing multiple priorities. This role provides an exciting opportunity for the candidate to gain exposure, training and experience across the alternative investments landscape, and to work on a wide variety of tasks and projects for both internal and external audiences and stakeholders. The candidate will report to, and work closely with, the Chief of Staff to the Global Head of Equity Private Markets.

  Key responsibilities

  Drive and/or support strategic initiatives across the global Private Markets platform while providing business management support to the EPM executive team in pursuit of its overall business strategy.Drive and/or support key internal communications to further cross platform connectivity (e.g., weekly newsletter, People Newsletter and other communications)Work closely with COO / business management functions across the platform as well as the key business partners (FP&A, HR, etc) to contribute to periodic managerial meetings (e.g. QBR) and other business updates.Support EPM leadership meetings and other internal forums (e.g. bi-weekly MD Briefing Meetings, quarterly town halls).Draft presentations, talking points and briefing memos for client engagements, industry or internal conferences, meetings with strategic partners, Board presentations, etc.Conduct market research by utilizing key third party vendors such as Preqin, Pitchbook, Thomson Reuters, etc in order to deliver and present data and narrative for various collateral.

  Qualifications & Skills

  1+ year of business, project management and/or marketing experience, preferably within the financial services industryHighly professional, organized and committed to excellenceA strong written and verbal communicator with a creative mindset and editorial capabilitiesMust be comfortable engaging with cross-functional teams and senior leadership in a variety of formats, including emails, calls and meetingsCurious to challenge the quality and accuracy of informationExcellent attention to detailAnalytically strong, organized and calm under pressureSelf-motivated, driving projects forward with little supervisionAble to build trusting relationships quicklyBachelor's degree required#EarlyCareers

  For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $97,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

  Our hybrid work model

Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
