Your Impact:
Hearst Magazines seeks an Analyst, Business Insights, who will play a critical role in analyzing complex data sets, generating valuable insights, and providing actionable recommendations to drive business growth and enhance decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, understanding of data analysis techniques, and strong communication abilities. Analyst must be a fast-learner, detailed oriented, highly analytical, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do: Collect and analyze data to identify trends and insights relevant to our business operations Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports to track business performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) with regular updates to stakeholders Collaborate with various internal teams to define data requirements, establish data collection methodologies, and ensure data integrity and accuracy Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders Utilize insights from data analysis to support strategic planning initiatives Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies/initiatives and provide timely reports on their success along with areas for improvement Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis to continuously improve analytical capabilities and drive innovation within the organizationWho You Are:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field Minimum of 1-2 year's experience with a focus on data-driven insights and strategic decision-making Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to clearly convey recommendations and conclusions to senior leadership Experience in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Excel, R, Python, DOMO or Tableau Experience in data visualization and dashboard development, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders Familiarity with statistical analysis methods, predictive modeling, and machine learning concepts Exceptional attention to detail and data integrity with ability to work with accuracy Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organizationThe base salary for this role is $64,000-$77,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
This role requires the position to be located in New York, NY with an in-office presence of 3 days a week.
