This is a remote Director Solutions Engineering - Strategics AMER position.
Responsibilities: Build and lead a team of sales engineers and SE managers who serve as our core product introduction, evaluation and education experts. Coordinate cross functional dotted line resources to achieve your team goals. Partner with sales leadership to achieve regional quota and consumption targets and ensure customer success. Provide guidance to revenue leaders on sales strategy, product obstacles/gaps and represent the team's needs to executive staff. Interpret complex problems, create simple solutions and collaborate closely with prospects, channel partners and our sales team to deliver winning solutions . Collaborate and maintain a close working relationship with product, engineering, sales, marketing and services. Play an active role in sourcing and screening potential candidates and managing the entire interview process. Act as a player/coach working with your team on and delivering compelling presentations to customers and prospects. Innovate and implement strategies that will uplevel your teams skills. Provide ongoing mentorship to SE Managers and SEs to teach technical and non-technical pre-sales techniques for securing new clients, managing customers, and account expansion to support upsell. Continually assess and develop technical capabilities of each team member to ensure each SE reaches and maintains required technical knowledge to effectively perform their pre-sales duties. Provide periodic performance reviews, assess skill sets, handle personal issues, and provide personal/professional development opportunities. Deliver sales presentations, present technical information about Cribl's products and services, and conduct product demonstrations. Collaborate with Sales management to identify opportunities to improve upon and standardize best practices in SE/SR relationship.
Qualifications: Proven ability to communicate effectively in presentations in person, via telephone, and through remote conferencing with executive level customers, direct reports, and the Cribl Leadership Team. Ability to teach ways to identify new and existing opportunities through basic consultative selling methodology. A history of successfully leading a technical pre-sales team that drives target attainment. Must be able to lead a team and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual quota requirements. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent AND 3-5 years of experience in a customer facing role OR equivalent combination or education and experience.
