  WellPower is community based mental health center that has a goal of becoming an actively anti-racist organization by beginning to address institutional bias in our systems.  Interpreting is 100% of this position. Provide ASL interpretation for clinicians, people we serve, and staff for WellPower in various settings.  

  Location: Dahlia Campus for Wellbeing - This role is located in Denver, Colorado and is a hybrid role. We do require some in-office hours weekly.

  Pay Range & Benefits:

  $50,003 - $60,260/year

  ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  Interpreting

  Provides ASL interpretation during various virtual and in-person meetings, conferences, trainings, and therapeutic interactions (counseling, case management) for clinical staff and the people we serve. Accepts responsibility for knowledge and adherence to the RID and NCIHC codes of professional conduct and the role of the interpreter. Serve as advocate, liaison, while strictly following the RID code of professional conduct for the Deaf, hard of hearing and DeafBlind communities.   Maintain flexibility to cover emergency assignments after hours and on weekends, as needed. Serve as back up ASL interpreter services coordinator, when needed. Culture Building 

  Collaborate with DEIB team to provide ideas and feedback on how to make all services inclusive for the Deaf, hard of hearing and Deafblind people we serve and staff. Work with providers who do not sign on best practices to ensure an inclusive and equitable experience for the Deaf, hard of hearing and Deafblind people we serve. Strong knowledge and understanding of Deaf culture. Assist the DEIB Manager CES with trainings specific to the Deaf, hard of hearing and Deafblind community. Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent/ Must have RID CI/CT, NIC or BEI certification or equivalent.

  EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of 3 yrs. of ASL interpreting. Experience working with non-profit organizations, mental health or healthcare is preferred.
