Howmet Aerospace is currently looking a Group Leader to join our Howmet Alloy plant in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this Weekend Night Shift position are Sunday Night - Thursday Night 10:00p - 6:30a. Training on Days M-F 6:00A - 2:30P.
Position will receive an hourly "shift premium" while assigned to an off-shift.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This position supervises Alloy on the assigned shift, as well as working in some of the departments to meet production needs as required.
EHS Requirements
• Expected to assist in the implementation of EHS Values and policy statements and accompanying principals.
• Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report all job-related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook).
• Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
• Attend all EHS training.
• Perform audits, High risk tasks and be able to lead direct reports on same.
Essential Job Functions
• Make work schedules and ensure that productivity standards are maintained .
• Provide atmosphere where ideas are welcomed and supported.
• Recognize and communicate concerns to supervision.
• Resolve and assist with implementing ways of improvement, for improved quality and cost.
• Assist supervisor with initial fact gathering regarding production/employee issues.
• Coordinate with Production Planner and other supervisors to ensure customer schedules are met.
• Ensures that productivity standards are maintained through standard work while insuring quality at the same time.
• Ensures effective and ongoing training.
• Under direction of supervision will participate in the formal appraisals of employees assigned to shift.
• Maintains compliance with safety regulations and adherence to company policy.
• Actively works to support OEE (overall equipment effectiveness).
• Performs other duties as might be assigned by supervision.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 2 years Plant Experience
Physical Demands
• Frequent standing and walking. Frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prefer supervisory experience and Alloy melter departmental knowledge.
• Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starting and results oriented
