DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs an Air Quality Engineering Trainee, you will undergo a comprehensive 12-month training program where you will acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to fulfill the responsibilities of an Air Quality Engineering Specialist. In this position, you will gain knowledge and experience in the implementation of the department's Air Quality Plan Approval, Title V, Title IV, State Only, and Reasonably Available Control Technology (RACT) permitting programs in the Northcentral Region. You will perform all functions associated with the implementation of these programs in simple cases with minimal supervision. All work will be completed under the guidance of the Facilities Permitting Section Chief.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment.Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:A bachelor's degree in the field of engineering; orOne year of engineering experience, and possession of a valid Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
